The
Royal Addition
A short tale about
the Country of Numbers
including an extraordinary
column supplement.
“What could happen if the enemy has
declared war on the Country of Numbers?
Well!
The wise king of Numis always
knows what to do.
He has a special palace and has
the brave numbers who always
obey him.”
” One day, the king of Numbers held an
extraordinary assembly in the court of
his palace of addition.
The king seated himself on his throne
outside, opposite the palace.
From there he could see all the
balconies and windows of the palace.
All around him, his faithful subjects,
the numbers, were gathering.
Of course, we should not forget about
everyone who lived in the palace of
addition.
On the right-hand side of the king,
on the upper floors, were the ones,
and on the left, the tens
were watching from the balcony.
For some reason, the ground floor
was left empty.
The king started his speech in a loud voice.
“Numbers, listen! I declare an emergency!
I have just had news that an enemy from
the north has declared war on us. “
